 Every
three months, Community Economics publishes
the El Topil newsletter.
"Topil" is a Zapotec word. Indigenous
communities appoint certain people who fulfill
a number of duties including that of village
communicators. These people are the village
"Topiles".
El
Topil provides information,
analysis and interpretation of these of
significance at the Oaxacan State and national
levels EDUCA directs El Topil to rural villages,
community-based organizations to groups,
collectives, etc.
As
of 2005, El Topil
covers all themes which relate to Educa's
work. Prior to 2005, El Topil
covered themes specific to
the Community Economics Program.
